DRE MANDATE

ONLY 15 HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION FINAL EXAMS IN ONE 24 HOUR PERIOD

FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN HAVING TO RETAKE A FINAL EXAM

The Department of Real Estate has mandated that you can only take 15 hours of Continuing Education final exams in one 24 hour period.

This means that some of our courses that consist of more than 15 hours will have to be divided into two parts.  This currently applies to Professional Practices (18 Hours), Mortgage Lending (18 Hours), & Real Estate Investments (21 Hours).

Please allow at least five (5) days to complete all of your final exams.

This regulation is not 15 hours per day.  It is 15 hours in a 24 hour period.  You cannot take 15 hours at 11:00 PM on one day, and then another 15 hours at 1:00 AM the next day.

You must wait 24 hours between exams!

If you have an immediate deadline you need to plan to take your first 15 hours of finals early in the morning on the first day, the next 15 hours around noon on the next day, etc.   This will allow you to stay beyond the 24 hour restriction.

Sorry for this inconvenience, but all schools must comply with this 15 hour regulation created by the California Department of Real Estate.

Please have a pencil ready when taking Part 1 of an exam.  You will need to write down a code to enter Part 2.

DRE also mandated 70% as the passing grade for CE courses!

These rules do not apply to Statutory Courses!
